In August 2014, the N. Houston Development Corp (formerly the Greater Greenspoint Redevelopment Authority) opened North Houston Skate Park.  It is a popular event venue and attracts both novice and expert skaters from around the city and world. With 77,000 square feet of skate surface, it is the largest skate park in North America – and the second largest in the entire world!

Grab your gear and get ready to grind!  The park features a world-class, competition-scale Texas-shaped bowl with a full pipe, a 12-foot vertical ramp, a 10-foot-deep bowl, banked walls & speed hips – plus backyard-style pools & 3 flow bowls – beginner, intermediate, & advanced.  A section designed to emulate the street-skating experience has ledges, rails, benches, banks, quarter pipes & stair obstacles, providing fun and creative challenges for skaters of all levels and interests.

In addition to the multi-level features, the Park is home to “High Noon” – a life-size, full pipe bronze sculpture designed by legendary Hall-of-Fame skateboarder Steve Olson.

Admission is FREE.  Helmets are REQUIRED.
