City View Park

Cost: $2,200,000
Location: 16822 City View Place, Houston, TX 77060
Project Overview

City View Park, along with Thomas R. Wussow Park, was developed through a coordinated public-private partnership to transform a formerly blighted site into a functional public greenspace. The property, acquired by the management district in 1993, previously contained deteriorated and flood-damaged apartment structures that were later demolished by the City of Houston.

Following the establishment of the TIRZ 11, a developer agreement with the Archon Group enabled construction of the park as part of a broader multi-family redevelopment effort in the surrounding area.

Today, City View Park serves as a 2.5-acre passive park featuring landscaped green space, more than 200 trees, a 30-by-30-foot pavilion, walking paths, and a playground. The project represents a key component of a larger initiative to introduce public park space and trail connectivity along Greens Bayou, supporting long-term reinvestment in the North Houston area.
