Buckboard Park

Cost: $1,800,000
Location: 70 Buckboard Drive, Houston, TX 77060
Project Overview

Buckboard Park spans five acres, combining 3.5 acres owned by TIRZ 11 and adjacent land owned by the North Houston District. The site was once an aging industrial property that had been cleared but remained underutilized until its transformation into a public park in 2008.

Located at the corner of Buckboard Drive and Wagon Road, the park welcomes visitors with a striking mosaic butterfly by MOCAH and artist Eric Ober. Throughout the space, guests can enjoy a playground, walk along concrete paths embedded with mosaic artwork, and discover sculptures integrated into the landscape.

The North Houston District maintains and provides ongoing beautification of the park, supporting its continued appeal and usability.
