Dylan Park

Location: 12351 Kuykendahl Road, Houston, Texas 77067
Project Overview

Dylan Park is an inclusive “Park Without Limits” designed to welcome children of all abilities, including those who use wheelchairs.

Developed on land acquired by TIRZ 11 in 2009 near Kuykendahl and Rankin Roads, the park features accessible playground equipment, landscaped pathways, and public art throughout the space. Visitors enter through distinctive butterfly gates and are welcomed by a mosaic sculpture of Dylan with his watering can, created by artist Dixie Friend Gay. Additional tactile mosaic artwork encourages children to interact with the piece while exploring images of birds, caterpillars, and butterflies integrated into the design.
