North Houston Skate Park

Cost: $6,000,000
Location: 12351 Kuykendahl Road, Houston, Texas 77067
Project Overview

North Houston Skate Park was developed on a 10-acre site purchased by TIRZ Eleven in 2009 at Kuykendahl and Rankin Roads, just west of I-45. The project was inspired by feedback from Aldine High School students, who expressed a strong desire for a local skate park.

Today, the park features more than 78,000 square feet of skateable terrain, including a 20-foot full pipe, street skating area, Texas-shaped bowl, snake run, and multiple vert bowls. Visitors enter through distinctive armadillo gates, and the park also features a public art installation by Skateboarding Hall of Famer Steve Olsen.
