Villa Serena Communities is now the largest apartment owner in the North Houston District with 15 properties (approximately 4,000 apartment units), and has recently purchased four office buildings.

Owner, Steve Moore, who lives in one of these Greenspoint apartment communities says, “There is now a critical mass of hands-on new ownership committed to revitalizing the neighborhood. With the leadership of Greg Simpson and Tracy Harrison of the North Houston Management District, crime has been reduced to half and is on track to be lower than Houston average.”

As part of its commitment to the community, Villa Serena management is renovating its apartments and renaming all properties to start with the word Serena, which means serenity in Spanish. “We are committed to offering a quiet, safer and peaceful place to live,” says marketing director, Jeannie Werthman.

The community located in Spring has already received its new name and sign, “Serena Woods,” which includes an enhanced private lake with fish next spring. The next community to rebrand will be Durham at Cityview, which will become Serena Village very soon.

Excited to try new ventures, the owners of Villa Serena acquired four commercial office buildings in 2017 and 2018.

The group first purchased Northborough Tower at 100 Glenborough Drive and quickly began renovations to the 4th floor to create North Houston Executive Suites.  This floor contains 47 individual office suites, two conference rooms, a huddle room, beverage bar and elegant reception area.  North Houston Executive Suites is among the most affordable, convenient class A space available in Houston and is now almost 60% occupied.

Additionally, the 3rd floor of this 14-story class A building is now home to a division of the Houston Police Department. The 2nd floor will soon be home to Betsy’s Cafe expected to open in just a few weeks.

And most recently, Villa Serena purchased Atriums I and II located at 12600 Northborough Drive and 350 Glenborough Drive. Atrium I is a beautifully renovated, top-tier class B, 3-story office building and Atrium II is a class B, 3-story 88,714 square-foot office building with recent lobby renovations.
