The North Houston District’s parks system serves a growing population of over 50,000 residents, plus employees who work here and visitors who travel to our region for business and leisure. The system features a network of approximately eight (8) parks and eight (8) miles of trails.

Knowing that parks and trails are essential for healthy, thriving communities and improving the quality of life for all, the District seeks opportunities to expand our park system. In partnership with Asakura Robinson, the North Houston District worked with community members and key stakeholders to develop a long-term vision and a near-term plan for priority investments in parks, trails, and pedestrian access projects.

The 2023 North Houston Parks Master Plan takes stock of existing parkland, partnerships, and community needs to create a cohesive network of parks, open spaces, and trails in the future.
